Stacey came into Moderncare at a young age, to help her dad as our companies accountant intending to peruse her career in her chosen field .
The more the company grew, the more help was needed with day to day running. Although unintended, Stacey became more and more involved – and stumbled across her passion in care, leading to where she is now as our registered manager.
With Stacey’s drive and continuous hard work Moderncare has over tripled in size, and is continuing to grow and achieve great things.
Melanie has worked in care for over 20 years and has worked in many roles within the care sector.
Melanie started out as a carer, undertaking many roles which broadened her knowledge leading to her current role as a care manager.
Along with induction training, Melanie completes Dementia training, promoting dementia awareness as Alzheimer‘s is something that’s very close to Melanie‘s heart. Melanie is our medicines competency assessor and is our go to with any Medicines queries.
Mel also attends reviews, new meets and completes care plans – ensuring the care is tailored to each individuals needs.
Jan is our longest standing member of staff – completing over 20 years of service (with many more to come).
Jan has over 35 year experience within the care industry, and is very passionate about her role and the duties she carries out.
Jan has undertaken many roles within Moderncare, carer, senior, supervisor and now undertaking the role of our On call Manager.
Jan is very caring, approachable and supportive to all staff at Moderncare.
Alison has worked in the care sector for the past twenty years. Alison started off as a domiciliary care worker and after a few years ended up in management working for a variety of domiciliary care agencies. Alison developed a passion for training by becoming a NVQ/QCF Assessor and alternated between being a Manager and Assessor / Trainer for many years. Alison has been a full-time trainer for the past four years and absolutely loves it.
Alison is very passionate about care work and improving the standard that we offer to our service users. Alison is also very keen to help care staff gain more knowledge and help them appreciate the valuable service they provide.
Emily was studying music at Bangor university - with the aim of continuing with her career as a harpist after completing her degree.
Emily worked part time as a carer and decided after university to change her career path and pursue with a career that she loved within the health care sector. After working as a carer for 2 years she started taking on responsibilities such as oncall, rotas, and general office duties.
Emily joined Moderncare as she shares our passion, views and believes in the ethos of the company.
Emily handles rotas, holidays, advertisement and works closely with our HR and monitoring officer.
Natasha has always wanted to pursue a career within the care sector, completing her health and social and access to nursing in college.
Natasha started as a carer at the age of 20, became a supervisor at the age of 22 and after a few years started taking on more HR duties.
Natasha is now our full time HR officer, along with handling recruitment and retention.
Natasha is very enthusiastic, and keen to keep a happy work force.
Debbie has worked in care for most of her career, working in different settings such as learning difficulties, mental health, secure units and domiciliary care. Debbie started as a carer and has undertaken many roles between then and her position with Moderncare as a monitoring officer.
Debbie is field support for all care staff and clients, and resolves any issues we have out in the field.
Together we have over 80 years experience in care. We are all committed to making a difference - improving the quality of lives for the people we provide care for.
