Meet the team

Stacey Noakes - Responsible Individual and Director of Moderncare

Stacey is the Responsible Individual and Director of Moderncare, bringing over 20 years of experience within the organisation.

Stacey’s journey with Moderncare began when she supported the business as an accountant while it was owned by her father. Over time, her role naturally evolved as she took on increasing responsibility, developing a deep understanding of both the operational and personal aspects of care delivery.

Through her dedication and leadership, Stacey progressed into a management role and has since played a key part in shaping Moderncare into the trusted and high-quality service it is today.

Stacey is passionate about delivering person-centred care that prioritises dignity, independence, and compassion. Her hands-on approach and commitment to high standards continue to drive the service forward, ensuring both staff and the people we support feel valued, respected, and well cared for.

Her leadership is built on experience, family values, and a genuine commitment to quality care.

Emily Williams - Registered Manager

Emily is the Registered Manager at Moderncare, bringing over 15 years of experience in the care sector, including more than 10 years with Moderncare and six years in her current leadership role.

Emily began her career in care at the age of 19 while studying music at Bangor University, where she initially planned to pursue a professional career as a harpist. Alongside her studies, she worked part-time as a carer — a role that quickly became a passion and led her to build a long-term career in health and social care.

Over the years, Emily has developed extensive hands-on experience, progressing into roles with increasing responsibility, including on-call support, rota management, and office coordination. Her dedication and leadership brought her to Moderncare, where she shares the organisation’s values and commitment to delivering high-quality, person-centred care.

As Registered Manager, Emily oversees the day-to-day running of the service, working closely with Stacey to ensure the highest standards are maintained. She supports both office staff and field supervisors, ensuring care is safe, effective, and consistently delivered.

Emily is passionate about supporting both staff and the people who use the service, creating a positive, professional environment where dignity, compassion, and quality care are always the priority.

Melanie Thomas - Client liaison officer

Melanie Thomas is our Client Liaison Officer at Moderncare, bringing over 30 years of experience in the care sector, including more than 20 years with Moderncare.

Melanie plays a key role in ensuring every individual receives the highest standard of person-centred care from the very beginning. She leads on initial assessments and meetings with new clients, taking the time to understand their needs, preferences, and routines in order to develop tailored care plans that reflect truly individual support.

In addition to this, Melanie is our Medication Management Competency Assessor (MMCA), ensuring all staff are trained and competent in the safe administration of medication. She also supports the ongoing development of our team through regular supervisions and appraisals, helping to maintain high standards across the service.

Melanie’s extensive experience, attention to detail, and compassionate approach make her an invaluable part of the Moderncare team, providing reassurance to both the people we support and their families.

Her knowledge, consistency, and dedication help ensure quality and safety across every aspect of care.

Sophie Mills - Administrative assistant

Sophie is our Administrative Assistant at Moderncare and plays an important role in supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the office.

She is often the first point of contact, managing incoming calls and enquiries, and liaising with GPs, district nurses, care staff, and clients. Sophie helps ensure clear communication across the service, supporting both families and professionals.

Working closely with the management team, she assists with the coordination of daily operations, helping to keep the service organised, responsive, and efficient.

Sophie’s approachable manner and attention to detail make her a valued member of the team, helping to ensure everything runs seamlessly behind the scenes.

Providing support behind the scenes so quality care can be delivered every day.

Jessica Lazda - Oncall officer

Jessica Lazda is our Emergency On-Call Officer, providing dedicated out-of-hours support for both clients and staff.

With over 15 years of experience in the care sector, Jessica plays a vital role in ensuring continuity of care outside of office hours. She is on hand to respond to any urgent situations, provide guidance and reassurance, and coordinate cover for sickness or unexpected changes to care.

Jessica is a friendly and dependable point of contact, offering support, advice, and quick solutions when they are needed most.

Her experience and calm, responsive approach help ensure that both staff and the people we support feel safe, supported, and confident.

Providing reassurance and support whenever it’s needed.
