Nia started her career in care working part time in a Nursing home while in University. After college, while starting off training to work for the University of Wales, in 2003 Nia had a part time job as a carer in a Domiciliary care firm, and discovered her passion for care in the community. Soon Nia committed to working full time in the Care sector, and throughout her career became a Senior Carer, then Coordinator. After the firm that she worked for was taken over by a National chain in 2008 Nia started to become involved in the training side, and qualified as a NVQ A1 Assessor and completed qualifications to teach adults. Nia spent the next few years delivering training in Port Talbot and Neath, Newport and Bristol. In July in the 2020 Pandemic Nia had been a stay at home mum for over two years, but came back to join the wonderful team at Modern Care.
